Conifers will have lignified growth and pines which were decandled should have hard summer needles now. This is quite an adaptable time of year to do major work on deciduous and conifers. We do however need to be mindful that trees are not putting on growth now\, so we cannot be overly aggressive or cut hard to budless areas or weak foliage.
